1 John: Walk in the Light, Love, and Life of God
June 2022–February 2023
The apostle John who earlier penned the Gospel of John wrote this pastoral letter to the early Christians amid false doctrines and teachers. The critical question that he addressed in his poetic sermon-like letter is this: what are the tests for authentic Christian faith and living? John offers three simple tests according to who God is—God is light, love, and life. This lasting test is also for us as we face so many confusing trends of pseudo spirituality, which guides us to walk in the light, love, and life of God.
